National Storage Affiliates Trust is a real estate investment trust headquartered in Greenwood Village, Colorado, focused on the ownership, operation and acquisition of self-storage properties located within the top 100 metropolitan statistical areas throughout the United States.
The Vice President of Finance and Treasury reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the management, reporting and analysis of the Company's debt, equity and treasury functions. The Vice President will work in unison with the senior management team in the determination and execution of the capital markets strategic objectives. This role serves as the primary contact for all of the Company's banking relationships.
- Responsible for the execution of the Company's strategic objectives as it relates to all aspects of the capital markets, leading a team of three individuals
- Plays a critical role in execution of the Company's debt capital raises, including through debt private placements, secured debt financings, and the Company's credit facility and other term loan facilities with its syndicate of ~15 banks
- Oversees management and analysis of the Company's debt financing sources, including via joint ventures
- Supports the CFO in executing on the Company's interest rate hedging strategies through derivative instruments
- Ensures financial and other covenants are in compliance as required in all loan documents
- Coordinates with the CFO and other senior members of management to forecast cash position, liquidity, and leverage metrics
- Treasury management responsibilities including supervising the Company's daily cash needs through cash management of funds from property operations, revolving line of credit usage, and other corporate uses such as acquisitions and debt service
- Implements cash management and investment policies and strategies for all corporate entities, including the Company's taxable REIT subsidiary, insurance captive, and joint venture entities
- Assists in the Company's equity capital raises, including follow-on equity deals and ATM issuances
- Responsible for the calculations of distributions on equity and other related concepts associated with the Company's unique Participating Regional Operator ("PRO") model
- Oversees the calculation and funding of quarterly common equity dividends and partnership distributions
- Oversight of the Company's Operating Partnership equity tracking and coordination with Third Party Administrators and transfer agent to ensure accurate reporting
- Maintains and reports insider beneficial ownership information for annual proxy and other required filings
- Prepares and delivers materials for the Board of Trustee's Finance Committee meetings
Compensation: Base Salary of $170,000 - $205,000 plus incentive compensation opportunity, including cash bonus and equity-based awards.
