POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the property's general condition of all electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and painting aspects. Additional functions include completing maintenance request work orders on a timely basis and participating in the preventive maintenance program for all building equipment and rooms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain general maintenance of the exterior and interior of the property building
- Complete work orders promptly, including on-call requests
- Demonstrate the ability to resolve maintenance issues to prevent a recurrence
- Maintain inventory to ensure materials, supplies, and equipment are available on-site
- Inspect and test machinery and maintenance equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe environment; report unsafe conditions to the supervisor and recommend corrective action
- Partner with external vendors, contractors, and other maintenance team members on special projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma, GED, or trade school certification
- HVAC certification, required
- Residential/apartment maintenance experience, plus
- General residential maintenance skills required are A/C, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, electronics, drywall installation, and finishing, required
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds at variable distances often
