Happier Property Management is seeking a skilled and versatile Commercial Building Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a Commercial Building Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to seeing through execution of major repairs. You'll have to keeping communication between tenants and building manager consistantly and orderly. You'll be responsible for three to four buildings, the cleaning team, and a small crew.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections of the building while carrying out duties assigned to you by the Maintenance Manager.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general handyman duties.
- Respond promptly to work orders and requests from building management or tenants, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, lighting, and other building systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of building facilities.
- Install, repair, and maintain fixtures, equipment, and appliances within commercial buildings.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing tasks and operating equipment.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in building maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certification in a relevant field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance technician in a commercial building setting.
- Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and provide effective solutions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with building management, tenants, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, depending on the task at hand.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects when required.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
