Summerford Health & Rehab is seeking a FT Unit Support Personnel.
FLSA:Hourly Non-Exempt Generally Reports to: RN Supervisor
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not intended to be a complete list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required.
SUMMARY: Provides services and care for residents and patients; provides assistance to the nursing staff by performing various clerical and administrative functions.
ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Distributes fresh ice and water to residents/patients.
· Collects meal trays following meals and promptly returns food carts to the Dietary Department.
· Provides personal services such as, but not limited to, labeling resident personal items, proper
storage of personal items in designated area, bed making, etc.
· Provides non-resident services such as, but not limited to, washing wheelchairs, cleaning resident/patient areas and cleaning resident/patient equipment in compliance with infection control procedures.
· Maintains adequate supply levels such as, but not limited to, plastic bags and obtaining clean linen supplies and stocking linen closets/carts.
· Contributes to the resident assessment and care plan.
· Promptly responds to call lights.
· Promptly communicates any significant changes in behavior or condition to supervisor.
· Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
· Assists residents with transport to/from dining areas before and after meals.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum age of 18 years old.
· Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, and related experience and/or training.
· Superior customer service skills.
· Proficient in the use of personal computer.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT:
Shift work required. Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, see, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, feel, talk and hear. Employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Employee is occasionally exposed to blood and other body fluids, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
