AddressSweetwater, the nation’s #1 online retailer of pro-audio equipment and musical instruments, continues to grow our Arizona Distribution Center. This state-of-the-art, 350,000 sq ft is responsible for the receiving and shipping of all the amazing gear our customers need to make all their musical dreams come true. We are seeking to hire a Distribution CenterMaintenance Manager, working on-site in Litchfield Park, to manage our Distribution Center’s Preventative Maintenance Plan on our MHE. You will also be responsible for maintaining proper parts inventory and managing outside maintenance vendors. This position will have direct reports and candidates would be expected to have previous experience managing a team responsible for preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Work in Project Management role in coordination with our outside vendors as we install our Conveyor, Automation and open our new Distribution Center (scheduled to open summer of 2022)
- Implement Preventative Maintenance Plan to ensure continued optimal MHE performance
- Manage assigned financial reports to include supply and equipment expense
- Maintain age of equipment fleet within prescribed parameters
- Powered industrial truck PM and repairs (battery watering, etc)
- PIT training and certifications
- Manual pallet jacks
- Compactors and balers
- Conveyance system PMs, repairs, adjustments
- Automated tapers
- Air pillow machines (in conjunction with vendor)
- Guitar foam pack machines (in conjunction with vendor)
- Racking and bollard moves and modifications
- Workstation adjustments, modifications, PMs
- Pick putaway cart PMs (casters, etc)
- Owns lockout tagout process
- General “handy man” work that comes up daily throughout the DC
Qualifications:
- Strong background in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems trouble-shooting
- Rockwell Compact GuardLogix 5380 platforms including ability to modify ladder logic as needed
- Safety Integrity Level 3 (SIL-3) safety devices and integration
- Electrical power distribution which includes but not limited to 480VAC, 3-Phase
- 24VDC power distribution
- Sensor fundamentals which include but not limited to photo-electric sensors, laser sensors, and proximity switches
- Pneumatic systems including valves and cylinders
- ZPA (zero pressure accumulation) conveyor and operations. Experience with Hytrol conveyor systems is a plus
- VFD (variable frequency drive) fundamentals and operation including replacement, and setup
- Cognex Dataman camera fundamentals including setup and operations
What does the right leader have?
- Previous experience leading a Distribution Center/Manufacturing Maintenance Team for 5+ years
- 2+ Years experience working on conveyor and sortation systems
- 2+ Years experience working on forklifts and other MHE
- Flexibility in working multiple shifts to cover potential repair needs
- Associates Degree or Technical School Certification preferred
