Position Summary:
Janitors are responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of an
assigned area. The assigned area could be a building, hospital, warehouse, shopping
mall or other facility. Exact tasks of janitorial are not definite, consequently, must be
flexible in performing assigned duties as assigned by a Supervisor as mentioned below.

Physical requirements include stooping, standing, climbing, and frequently lift and/ or
moving a minimum of 50 lbs. of office and facilities equipment and trash and the ability to
safely use equipment provided. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close
vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to
adjust focus
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those

this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally or
regularly required to perform the following repetitive movements:
? Sitting, walking, standing, bending (neck), bending waist), squatting, climbing,

hearing.
? Repetitive use of hands to finger, arms (left and right) for:
? Simple grasping
? Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls

arms)
? Lifting and Carrying object(s) from floor, table, and shelves

exert 10 to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move
objects
