Job Description
Summary of Position:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, performing maintenance services in the areas of plumbing, electrical, welding, construction, painting and/or machine servicing.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by checking blueprints, repair manuals and part catalogs when necessary
- Diagnose forklift and crane/hoist issues and fix them quickly and efficiently
- Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
- Repair, replace and reassemble defective equipment parts using hand and power tools
- Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings
- Will be on call and required to come in if any equipment breaks down during other shifts
Qualifications:
- MUST have knowledge on preventative maintenance on forklift and heavy machinery
- MUST have experience working with overhead cranes
- MUST have welding experience
- MUST have 480 experience
- +5 years experience in maintenance
- Knowledge in repairing air pumps and hydraulic presses
- Demonstrate skills in resolving issues quickly and efficiently
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Have basic computer skills
- Have excellent communication skills
- Must be able to multitask and work in a production environment
Requirements:
- Lift, carry, push and or pull up to 50lbs
- Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently
- Sit, stand, walk and drive for 1 – 10 hours per day
Work Environment:
Must be able to work in a wide range of weather conditions in a manufacturing environment under immediate supervision, for long shift periods.
Work Hours:
AM Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
