Job Description
- Maintains the structural integrity of the plant and offices. Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches and operation manuals the equipment contained at Koike. When called upon to do so the incumbent utilizes acquired cross-functional training skills to assist and reduce the workload demands of other critical manufacturing departments. Trouble shoot any electrical issues at the facility, including equipment, lighting, HVAC or any other areas needed.
- Responds to production machine tool breakdowns and initiates repair procedures to return equipment to full operation to limit downtime.
- Troubleshoot machines and remove defective electrical and/or mechanical components. Inspects used components for failure or excessive wear and replaces as necessary. Run tests and fine tunes machine before releasing to operator. May lubricate as required.
- Installs, repairs and maintains building electrical, lighting, heating, plumbing and sprinkler systems.
- Installs items such as window blinds, curtain rods, wall fans, and door lock sets. May assist in moving and/or relocating plant and office equipment.
- May operate lawn maintenance equipment (Spring-Summer-Fall) and shovel or blow snow from walkways during the Winter months.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, vocational or apprentice certificate, or general education degree (GED) combined with minimum of three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The person must have extensive electrical experience.
