Maintenance Planner Job Description

Overview:

G.S. Gelato & Desserts, Inc. is a manufacturer of authentic Italian gelato, sorbet, plant-based frozen desserts and soft serve with national distribution in the foodservice and grocery/retail industries. G.S. Gelato is looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our growing team.

Job Duties Include, but not limited to:

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all equipment and machinery

- Coordinate with maintenance technicians to ensure timely completion of scheduled maintenance tasks

- Plan and prioritize maintenance activities based on equipment criticality and production needs

- Create work orders for maintenance tasks, including detailed instructions and necessary materials

- Monitor and update the status of work orders, ensuring accurate documentation of completed work

- Collaborate with procurement to ensure availability of necessary parts and materials for maintenance activities

- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues or areas for improvement

- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance history and performance metrics

- Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance team members as needed

Requirements:

- Strong leadership abilities to effectively manage a team of maintenance technicians

- Proficiency in logic controllers and other automation systems used in industrial maintenance

- Solid mechanical knowledge to understand and troubleshoot equipment issues

- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written

- Experience with HVAC systems and their maintenance requirements

- Project management skills to effectively plan and execute maintenance projects

- Knowledge of high voltage systems and safety protocols

- Ability to fabricate or repair components as needed

- Understanding of electrical systems and their maintenance requirements

- Experience in industrial maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair of machinery

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to solve problems
• The employee may perform other related duties, as required, to meet the ongoing needs of the company.
• Must be willing to relocate if currently outside Fort Walton Beach, FL or surrounding areas.
