Reports To: Maintenance Superintendent
Summary: The Appliance Technician troubleshoots washers, ranges, and other appliances located in the guest units and hotel common areas, to include restaurant, kitchens, spa, and bars, repairing, or replacing defective components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair various appliances, such as refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, etc.
- Swiftly respond to calls from Maintenance Dispatch regarding issues and malfunctions.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot problems.
- Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
- Test electrical circuits or components for proper functioning.
- Clean equipment, parts, or tools to repair or maintain them in good working order.
- Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide repair options, estimates, and timeframes for guests, owners, and management, taking into account any product warranties they we/they may have.
- Coordinate with service centers and end users and provide product support.
- Assist with billing and invoicing paperwork as requested.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest appliance technologies and parts.
- Assure adherence to company standards and follow best practices of repair and safety.
- Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements
- Solid knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliant workplace safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with guests, owners, and coworkers in a harmonious manner. Customer service must be a priority.
- Ability to handle multiple operational demands with a high degree of professionalism, operating often with time sensitive deadlines
- Competent in the use of the work order system
- Strong time management skills, effectively scheduling repairs/replacements
- Strong cost analysis and decision-making skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Availability Open and operational seven days a week. Employees are required to be available to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays.
License Requirements Valid driver’s license that has been in effect for at least three years, with no major violations and no more than two minor violations in the past three years.
Rules and Regulations All employees must adhere to all safety rules and regulations required by local, State and Federal authorities, wear the appropriate personal protective equipment necessary to perform the job in a safe manner and will follow all safety rules per the Company’s Safety Policy.
Language Skills Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
