Mechanical/Electrical Engineer Intern

We are currently looking for an Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) at our Schenectady, NY office.

Internships begin the first week of June through the second week of August.

Our standard working hours are Monday – Friday (37.5 / 40hours per week)

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Tackling the existing scheduled PMs and making improvements to scope of work as well as what should be a scheduled PM

  • Creating a Lock Out Sheet for Maintenance on Blenders

  • Entering information for existing assets like manuals, pictures recommended spare parts.

  • Evaluation of all closed work orders to determine where repeated break downs have occurred.

  • Working along side maintenance technicians to learn equipment and how PMs are completed

  • Work with Planner and Coordinator on QR code of equipment and Computerized inventory list

    You Bring:

  • Currently working on completion of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent and have completed at least two full years of undergraduate study prior to the start of the internship.

  • Candidates must be available to work full-time (37.5/40 hour per week) for 12 weeks beginning on June 5, 2024 – August 18, 2024.

  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people.

  • Fluent in English

  • Strong computer skills, ability to pick up new software.

  • Capability to pull information from computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) software and analysis data to make recommendations regarding equipment improvements.
