Job Description
AECOM is seeking an entry level BIM Specialist - Mechanical/Electrical to be based in New York, NY
This position is expected to begin in Summer 2024.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Works under direct supervision.
Report to MEP Project Manager and/or BIM Coordination Manager.
Assists the BIM Coordination Manager with meetings, clash detection, issue reporting and tracking log creation.
Assists with creating and modifying 3D models, renderings and/or animations for promotion, proposals, and logistics.
Manage VDC technology initiatives that have been implemented to support project goals.
May help to create or maintain standards, processes and goals.
Manage electronic file structure on cloud based file repository.
Interface between Design Consultants and Subcontracted BIM Drafters.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline, Construction Management or similar degree or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
BIM knowledge/experience working with a large GC.
Experience with Navisworks.
Experience/Knowledge with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC 3-D modeling.
Experience/knowledge with local building and construction codes.
Experience in coordinating with architects, designers, clients, subcontractors, etc. on MEP systems.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $26.13/hour - $45.73/hour.
