The Logistics Customer Service Representative is the cornerstone of our operation and is responsible for the management and execution of operational tasks associated with tendered loads including load appointment, shipment monitoring, and proactive communication/issue escalation. The primary focus is the support of client operations assigned within Leonard's Express Enterprise function, working across multiple service offerings for Leonard's Express, Inc. clients.
This position is located at 529 E. Crown point Rd, Ocoee, FL 34761.

- Available shifts are Monday to Friday, 7am - 4pm or 8am – 5pm
Key Responsibilities
- Inputs, appoints and updates assigned customer shipments through verbal, virtual or written communication with customers, as well as internal carrier teams and internal customer teams
- Monitors shipment activity through given tracking and visibility tools and coverage by communication with the carrier teams, while proactively reporting relevant updates
- Proactively communicates and escalates issues and delays to relevant stakeholders
- Collaborates with the Carrier Sales Group to coordinate load coverage utilizing outside carrier partners
- Collaborates with the Asset Planning Group to coordinate capacity and coverage using Leonard's owned power assets and trailers as well as the Owner/Operator group
Key Accountabilities
- Accepts client load tenders and inputs all relevant data into Leonard's TMS for visibility
- Provides customer and carrier teams with timely, explicit updates and communications for shipment status as well as potential delays
- Maintains regular communication cadence with assigned clients on performance of all Leonard's Express Service units
- Coordinates coverage of all assigned customer freight via Leonard's Express Service units and communicate issues, delays, reschedules and special requirements to internal and client stakeholders
Key Competencies
Based on the essential and other duties and responsibilities of the position, the ideal candidate should have a number of professional skills and abilities:
- Familiarity with common trucking industry terminology
- Good interpersonal and Customer Service skills, well-developed verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work both as an individual contributor and a team member
- Sound organizational, records management, time management skills, and attention to detail
- The ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities, meet assigned deadlines, and manage the related stress
Key Qualifications
Based on the technical and professional responsibilities of the position, the ideal candidate is required to have:
- High School Diploma, Bachelors preferred
- 0-2 years related experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with systems such as TMW and Microsoft Office
Physical and Environmental
This position is primarily located in a climate controlled office environment with moderate noise level, but may experience other physical environments while traveling. Physical requirements include:
- Using computer hardware and software for extended periods of time (repetitive motion)
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
