Litigation Assistant

PLAINTIFF’S PERSONAL INJURY law firm is looking for a full-time Litigation Assistant who can assist the paralegals and attorneys in managing case files in the litigation phase. Previous legal experience is preferred for this role**

Compensation is based on experience.

The position will work from our Irvine location

Responsibilities:

• Help the litigation team in every day tasks related to case files.
• Assist with pleadings, discovery and petitions.
• Manage and maintain case calendars and deadlines.
• Collect, organize, and maintain files.
• Help with legal research and preparing and drafting legal documents.
• Maintain client communication (email and phone).
• Data entry and scanning and saving information in the firm’s case management system.
• Perform other administrative tasks, as requested.

Qualifications and Skills:

• BA/BS degree preferred
• **Paralegal certificate is a plus.
• Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) preferred.
• 1-2 years if previous law firm experience in civil litigation, personal injury experience is preferred.
• Strong vocabulary, grammar, and writing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, computers, and technology
• Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback
• Willingness to learn and adapt, and motivation to succeed

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
