Tiburon law firm looking for full time Legal Secretary. 1-2 years law firm experience preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly: $20-$25/hr DOE
- Healthcare: Firm pays portion of employee's monthly premium with excess to be paid by employee. No cash equivalent for non-participants;
- Paid Sick Leave, Vacation
- Paid Parking; conveniently close to office
- Full-Time, in office, 40 hours/week M-F approx. 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Primary Job Duties:
- greeting visitors;
- preparing conference room;
- cleaning supply room; monitoring/ordering supplies;
- billing and accounts receivable;
- answering phones;
- accepting and sorting incoming mail; scanning mail; distributing mail; preparing and posting outgoing mail;
- basic calendaring;
- opening / closing case files;
- preparing PowerPoints / documents for attorney speaking engagements/court appearances;
- making copies; electronic and hard-copy document compilation;
- coordinating meetings / depos between multiple parties;
- preparing documents / proofing documents;
- review and summarize large documents such as medical records or depositions;
- organizing office; dismantling case documents for recycling/shredding.
Willingness to Learn:
- file and serve case-related documents;
- order subpoenas;
- Civil Litigation calendaring;
- legal research;
- projects relating to business entities
Skillset:
- ability to multi-task;
- proficiency using computer programs to perform daily tasks including Microsoft, adobe, excel, timeslips, QuickBooks, legal calendar system;
- accountable, honest, hard-working, self-starting
