We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal / Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in legal case management, possess strong administrative skills, and be proficient in conducting legal research using Lexis-Nexis. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in all aspects of litigation.
Duties
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
-***Propounding discovery; form interrogatory, special interrogatories, requests for admissions, requests for production of documents, etc
- Manage document production and discovery requests
- Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with data entry and maintaining electronic case management systems
Skills
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using Lexis-Nexis for legal research
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail with strong proofreading abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong organizational skills to manage case files and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Strong project management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously
