Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality meals to our customers. Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and preparing dishes according to established standards
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Ensure that food is cooked properly and served at the correct temperature
- Monitor food inventory and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the kitchen manager
- Clean and maintain work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely meal preparation
- Assist with menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant or culinary setting
- Must have knowledge of WOK cooking
- Strong knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Proficient knife skills and ability to handle kitchen equipment
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
