Essentials:
- Must have current food handlers card
- Be able to prepare and cook food according to recipes
- Provide general support and culinary support to other individuals as part of the team
in the kitchen
- Ability to effectively and efficiently prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning,
chopping, and storing food.
- Weigh, measure and mix ingredients
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, equipment, and knives according to safe sanitation.
- Must be organized and have a strong knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling
procedures is required generally and in relation to the health department requirements.
- Understand food order slips and be able to receive and comprehend verbal instructions
- Prepare food to recipe for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Experience as fry cook and knowledge in how to safely cook and handle a fryer
- Must have a working knowledge of how to properly store leftover food, correct temperatures etc...
- Must have the ability and willingness to help other stations to prevent back up
- Willing to stay after kitchen closes to clean and sanitize kitchen
- Willingness and Ability to cross-train and work in multiple positions – we believe in the
concept of ONE Kitchen, where your training and flexibility will enable you to become an expert
in all back of the house roles to create a well rounded individual who can grow and develop
leadership/management skills to utilize for future endeavors and goals
- Maturity and professionalism under pressure desirable and the ability to communicate with
coworkers and/or managers in an effective, honest manner required.

Things to keep in mind before applying: Our kitchen opens at 4pm on weekdays and closes on weekdays at 10pm. Saturday hours would be 2pm to 11pm and Sunday we open at 12pm and the kitchen closes at 9pm though our establishment and the bar stays open until 1am. Kitchen staff often doesn't get out until around 10:30-11pm dependent on how long it takes to clean up. Staff arrives about two hours prior to open for prep.
