Position Summary:
Sudwerk Brewing Co. has openings for Prep Cook/Cleaner who are hardworking and reliable. This position plays an important role in the success of our restaurant, and allows you the opportunity to learn how our kitchen works, gain and improve your culinary skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up cook stations according to company guidelines and standards, ensuring all prep items are available on the cook line at all times
- Restock all items as needed throughout the shift
- Safely operate industrial dishwashing equipment
- Monitor and properly dispose of trash, recycling and compost of the kitchen in their appropriate locations
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies and laws, including health and safety standards.
- Report to work on time, in uniform, and ready to work
- Assist the Cooks, Chef and Kitchen Supervisors as needed
- Prepare a variety of foods with different methods of preparation
- Properly execute all recipe procedures
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
- 1-year working experience in a quick-service or full-service restaurant kitchen environment is preferred.
- Flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays), Wednesday thru Sunday
- Must provide your valid CA Food Handlers Certificate prior to hire

Work Environment:
- Duties are performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, with events often taking place in the elements in all four seasons
- Occasionally exposed to hot, wet, cold and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- The employee will, at times, be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as designated by the company.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift 55 pounds without assistance and maneuver 168 pounds safely with proper body mechanics
- Moving of food products with carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other moving equipment
- This position will require you to stand, walk and be on your feet for extended time periods
- Bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and performing repetitive motions
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus in various levels of lighting
- Work with strong and often times hazardous chemicals
