Legal Secretary

Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Legal Secretary. As a Legal Secretary, you will provide administrative support and assist in the smooth operation of my law office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for the legal field.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, net worth statements and correspondence
- File legal documents with the court system
- Maintain and organize case files and documents
- Assist attorney in all phases of discovery process, preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates
- Answer phone calls
- Interview clients and gather necessary information for cases
- Manage calendar

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary in matrimonial and family law is preferred
- Proficient in using document management systems and legal software
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional phone etiquette
