L'Abbate, Balkan, Colavita & Contini, L.L.P. (LBC&C) is seeking a full-time Legal Secretary for our Melville office. Founded in 1981, LBC&C has established itself as a prominent insurance defense law firm with a proven track record of successfully defending legal, accounting, business and design professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare pleadings, correspondence and discovery.
- Serve and e-file documents.
- Profile documents into the firm’s document management system, including items received from NYSCEF and PACER.
- Redline, revise and finalize AIA contracts and other documents.
- Trial preparation, including trial notebooks.
- Perform conflict checks and open new matters.
- Various other administrative tasks, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of Legal Secretary experience in a litigation firm.
- Knowledge of state and federal court e-filing procedures.
- Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Strong administrative and multi-tasking skills.
- Experience working with contracts a plus.

Salary Range: $55,00 to $65,000
