Job Description
We are hiring for a Legal Billing Specialist to join our team! This is a remote position with the expectation to work during Pacific Time (9:00am - 5:30pm).
The primary role of the Billing Support Specialist is to perform administrative tasks in support of the client's billing department.
Responsibilities:

• Monitor and respond to inquiries sent to the centralized billing inbox.
• Perform time edits.
• Respond to billing inquiries or redirect to the appropriate biller.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports, providing analysis of financial and historical data.
• Provide backup billing assistance when the Biller is out of the office.
• Assist in obtaining timekeeper approval for Billing clients.
• Prepare invoices according to client billing guidelines.
• Respond to inquiries timely and effectively.
• Prioritize and meet aggressive deadlines while handling a high volume of work
• Build, maintain, and deliver professional customer service and maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external contact.
• This position requires routine communication with client contacts, and other personnel, both inside and outside the firm.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required 2 or more years of relevant billing, accounting, or financial administration experience directly related to the duties of the position.
• Experience with some sort of billing platform/software.
• Experience with various e-billing vendor portals preferred.
• Experience with Aderant/CMS, Elite, or similar software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with clients in a professional, service-oriented manner.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and complete work within established deadlines.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment and look for opportunities to provide additional support.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to solve problems independently.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel.

The national pay range for this role is $37400 - $66000 / year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
