We provide comprehensive alternative care services to pregnant and postpartum individuals and newborns, including Chiropractic adjustments, core and pelvic floor rehab for birth prep and postpartum recovery, latch and breastfeeding difficulties and infant bodywork including craniosacral therapy, massage, in house IBCLC support, naturopathic medicine and acupuncture, doula services, childbirth and postpartum education classes. One of our biggest clinic goals is to provide an excellent patient experience which includes detailed explanation of benefits and estimated costs to patients. We work hard so our patients are fully informed and able to make the best choice for their care in regards to their cost, which is why we are in need of an additional full time administrative staff member!
Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of Medical Billing, coding, and compliance regulations.
Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
Detailed oriented, ability to multitask, problem solve, and follow through on tasks.
2 year minimum in Medical Billing experience in a Chiropractic Office or alternative healthcare field.
Training in Janeapp and Claim MD software is a bonus but not required, training will be provided.
Friendly professional demeanor and good communication skills to interact with our amazing patients are a must.
Duties will include:
Insurance Benefit Verification and Prior Authorizations: Looking up benefits via Onehealthport and Availity, completing and tracking prior authorization via EviCore, calling insurance companies to follow up as needed.
Claim Submission: Prepare and submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with payers' requirements and guidelines.
Payment Posting: Oversee the posting of payments, reconciling discrepancies, and managing the application of payments to outstanding accounts.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Management: Monitor and manage accounts receivable, identifying and addressing outstanding issues, and ensuring the timely resolution of unpaid claims with insurance companies and patients.
Patient Communication: Communicate with patients regarding their billing inquiries, provide explanations, and assist in resolving any billing-related concerns, manage patient payment plans.
Part Time Front Desk Support: Part time Flex days from home, part time in office required to assist up front when busy.This includes answering the phone, checking in, rescheduling and taking payments from patients. Vacation and sick coverage for our other admin staff as needed.
Compliance: Stay current with insurance regulations, coding updates, and healthcare laws to maintain compliance and ensure accurate billing practices.
Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports and provide analysis on billing performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
