Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as pleadings, briefs, and contracts
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents using document management systems
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings for attorneys
- Answer phone calls and emails, providing professional and courteous assistance to clients
- Assist with legal case management, including tracking deadlines and maintaining case calendars
- Perform data entry tasks to update client information and case details

Experience:
- Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with legal administrative procedures and practices
- Proficiency in using document management systems
- Knowledge of legal case management software, such as Clio
- Strong research skills to gather relevant information for cases
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain legal files and documents accurately
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in preparing legal documents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
