Amentum is seeking a self-motivated, organized full-time Lead Onboarding Specialist as part of the Antarctic Support Contract (ASC). Under general supervision of the Recruiting Supervisor, the Lead Onboarding Specialist (LOS) will mentor and guide the Onboarding Specialists (OS), acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Amentum Antarctic Support Contract onboarding operations. Additionally, the LOS will assist in recruiting/onboarding efforts with certain OCONUS deploying positions.
The LOS will contribute to the overall success of the Recruiting team by providing a high level of customer service and maintaining quality throughout the pre-deployment process.
Position responsibilities:
As part of the team supporting staffing needs and mobilizations for multiple departments, the LOS will:
Functions as the SME for all onboarding operations
Mentors and trains the OS on processes and best practices
Generates hiring and staffing reports that include metrics for hiring meetings; audits reports and compares against multiple data points to ensure accuracy
Provides time-sensitive updates to Travel and other agencies on the status of candidates
Responsible for maintaining a licensing/certification central database
Recommends and implements processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
Maintains accurate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and checklists
Responsible for updating the Denver-Intranet to ensure Amentum HR updates are accurate
Provides responsive, helpful and professional customer service to all internal and external customers
Guides newly hired employees through the onboarding process efficiently
Responsible for initiating background checks, adjudicating results and being the POC to keep process flow of candidates moving through the process.
Proactively reaches out to new hires for status updates and to support their continued progress through the onboarding process
Problem solves in collaboration with new hires regarding scheduling of their physical qualification (PQ) appointments or other obstacles
Conducts e-mail pre-screens, phone interviews and propose pay rates
Negotiates pay with candidates within established guidelines as directed by Supervisor
Prepares offers of employment and/or rescissions and extends to candidates after review by Recruiting Supervisor
Processes all paperwork from new hires once the Recruiter obtains the signed offer letter and proof of any certifications required by the relevant position
May assist in making changes into HRIS as needed.
Perform other duties as required
Required Education, Experience, Certificates and Licenses:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum four years administrative experience, with a minimum of one year within an HR or Staffing department
Minimum one year of experience in maintaining information within an applicant tracking system
Expected Skills and Competencies:
Excellent judgment and ability to think and respond quickly and appropriately in time-sensitive situations
Expert attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information, identify inconsistencies and suggest solutions
Proficient in demonstrating a high-level of professionalism.
Experienced at multi-tasking and working with a wide-range of management and staff at all levels within the program.
Ability to work harmoniously with others, both within and outside of the organization
Proficient in a variety of computer software programs including Microsoft Office and Applicant Tracking Systems.
Proficient in utilizing the internet for research purposes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as professional phone and email etiquette
Ability to maintain complete confidentiality as appropriate
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
Preferred:
Two years of sales or customer service background
Twelve months in a lead position
HR professional certification

Amentum allows 10 days of flexible holidays per fiscal year to be pro-rated based off which quarter employment begins.
Biweekly pay periods.
This position supports a Service Contract Act (SCA) where the hourly wage is determined by the Department of Labor (DOL) and is established based on the US County the employee resides. Wages may be eligible for health and welfare (H&W) fringe benefit rate as specified by the DOL and Area Wage Determination. The hourly wage for this position (SCA-01263) in Arapahoe County where the ASC Offices are located is $24.73. Interested candidates may confirm rates in their county of residents by visiting SAM.gov
