Job Description


As a member our of Learning and Talent Development team, you will collaborate with our technology subject matter experts, many of our top consultants and members of our internal teams to lead the design, development, and implementation of classroom, online and blended learning modules associated with the onboarding of experienced new hires and new college hires throughout CapTech. Help consultants in their careers transition to a working environment and build the necessary consulting skills to be successful in their first client engagement and beyond. Prepare for and lead our new Discovery Program which includes a three-week college boot camp program (approx. 4-6 per year) that are intended to provide our college hires with hands on experience with a consulting project in a safe space where failure is not only acceptable but encouraged.

In addition to our college hire program and new hire orientation, you will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of our award-winning annual summer intern program. Prepare for and lead an annual eight-to-12-week college internal program that is a form of experiential learning for current college students that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a safe and professional setting.

You will report to our Learning and Talent Development Manager and support L&D initiatives across CapTech including but not limited to: course design and development, program management, curation of learning for other initiatives, and LMS management.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate content for college hire Discovery program, intern program and new hire orientation.
  • Partner with our College Recruiting Manager, Learning Coordinator, and Learning & Development Manager to build an effective strategy to ensure that the boot camp and Intern program is meeting the current and anticipated future needs of the organization.
  • Build solid cross functional relationships across CapTech to leverage various skillsets for training and support of new hire program, college boot camp and our intern program.
  • Lead our new hire orientation team to ensure consistency in materials provided all new hires. Ensure all orientation content is current, impactful and makes a quality first impression.
  • Coordination and operational support for all onboarding programs
  • Aid ongoing employee development through support of the learning management system (LMS), sourcing learning content, and communication of training programs
  • Consult with department leaders to assess training needs for college hires and develop suitable training programs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of all onboarding training programs and provide recommendations and improvements.
  • Provide an exceptional experience that embraces CapTech’s culture for our college hires, experience hires, and future college hires

Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable in adult learning theory, educational methods and the content of training programs
  • Experience or familiarity with college hire and/or intern programs and other corporate onboarding programs
  • Excellent professional communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written) via phone, email and in person
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with prioritizing, multi-tasking and problem-solving in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change

Preferred Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Experience with Workday Learning or other Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Consulting Experience
  • Agile Project Management Skills
  • Organizational Change Management Skills
  • 3 years experience in corporate learning and onboarding or recruiting/HR administrative support
  • Previous professional services experience
  • Knowledge and application of effective instructional design and development
