Law Firm Legal Billing Clerk

New York Insurance Defense Law firm is seeking a Legal Billing Clerk.
May apply for either the White Plains or New York City office.

Primary responsibilities will be to perform all duties related to monthly and quarterly client billing invoice processing.

• Review billing instructions from clients to ensure adherence to guidelines.
• Research and respond to billing issues, communicate to attorneys, and billing staff to resolve any issues and ensure legal bills are timely, accurate, and complete.
• Ensure timely and successful submissions and acceptance of e-billed invoices.
• Ability to understand and resolve discrepancies with client billing requirements to resolve rejected legal bills timely.
• Monitor legal bills for delayed payments and monitor accounts receivable status.

Two (2) years of previous experience with all aspects of e-billing, including client/matter setup, timekeeper and time entry issues. Ten (10) plus years experience required to be considered for higher salary range offered.
Strong attention to detail and intermediate computer skills.
