Form of workThe Laboratory Support Specialist is responsible for processing and management of laboratory material supply orders. This includes coordinating with external vendors, verifying purchase order accuracy, as well as order entry and tracking. In addition, the specialist communicates directly with Nelson Laboratory clients and partners, providing updates and problem solving.
Education and experience
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office, email and internet usage
- Administrative support and order entry capability
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Lab Experience in a support capacity
Essential Duties:
- Respond to and process supply inquiries; assisting in explaining purchase process
- Work with sales to request quotes on customer behalf
- PO management; includes verifying purchase orders for accuracy
- Perform order entry into database, verify order accuracy, finalize billing review
- Communicate with clients and intercompany partners via email and phone
- Process testing materials orders from incoming receipt to outgoing inspection, provide tracking detail to customers
