We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to lead our bakery production team.. As a Pastry Chef you will be responsible for preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods. Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our bakery.
Duties:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods
- Follow recipes and ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
- Decorate cakes and pastries using various techniques
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow
- Assist with catering orders as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Pastry chef/Kitchen leader or similar role in a professional kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food handling, culinary techniques, and food safety standards
- Proficient in food preparation techniques, including mixing, baking, and decorating
- Familiarity with cake decorating tools and techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and best practices
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- Basic knife skills for ingredient preparation
- Ability to lift heavy packages when receiving deliveries
