JOB OVERVIEW

The Junior Product Merchandiser is responsible for the product direction and management of designated product lines. The individual will work closely with the Senior Product Merchandiser(s) to develop a line that represents TravisMathew and is aligned with the merchandise strategy. The Junior Product Merchandiser will maintain the brand vision and execute best-in-class product offerings, from inception through completion. This role is based in our Huntington Beach office.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage new products from concept to launch, leveraging market and product data
• Conceptualize new product positioning relative to existing products and the customer's perspective
• Brief the design team on new ideas for the season, as well as trends and styling details
• Manage project timelines across multiple departments to bring a product to life
• Maintain open, efficient communication between various departments on new and existing product
• Review market research and internal reports to anticipate product trends and marketing strategies
• Provide / develop product information for Retail and eCommerce teams
• Serve as the information hub between all cross functional partners and ensure the design and product intent is maintained throughout the process
• Present product offering and benefit details at critical checkpoints in the design calendar
• Partner with development and design teams to review prototypes, submits, and samples throughout the design process and make any necessary adjustments

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• Proficient in Microsoft Applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
• Experience with PLM, Centric preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects, clear time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Deadline and results driven with a strong sense of urgency solving problems
• Strong creative thinking skillset
• Strong organization, attention to detail and follow-up skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a product merchandising capacity
