Product Development Product Junior Designer (Consumer Products/Hardline)

Summary

Are you passionate about bringing products to life? We're seeking a Product Development Designer to join our team. If you have a keen eye for detail, design technicalities, and an interest in kawaii cultures and anime/manga and licensed product industry, this role is for you!

Job Duties (included but not limited to):

• Conceptualize new features and designs for our toy product from scratch
• Create a design along with a style guide from the licensors
• Understand technical dependencies for the material of toys you will be responsible for
• Supervise and confirm Tech Pack for development/production manager
• Work closely with marketing, sales, and e-commerce team members to build products that makes our customers happy
• A strong ability to lead a design team through influence and inspiration
• Review design/samples to add feedback to supplier and prepare photos/comments to submit to licensors
• Lead packaging design accordingly from the beginning to tech pack (supervise designers work as well)
• Prepare and update catalog w/ concept, planograms, and line lists.
• Product research – stay current on brands and trends to aid in the design

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of work experience in Toy design
• Proven expertise in control drawings and rendered illustration of concepts.
• Proficiency with Illustrator and Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with problem solving and adaptability to change.
• Understanding how to translate concept art into toys
• Understanding of toy (squishy) manufacturing and techniques
• Great attention to details and skilled aesthetics
• Knowledge of art and graphic fundamentals
• Strong time managements skills
• Strong written & verbal communication skills.

Addtional Skills (not required but better to have)

• Other language - Korean / Japanese / Chinese
• Any 3D modeling skills

Work From Home Policy

• After your probation period (3months), you will have an optional remote work on every Friday.

Flex Hour Policy

• Core-time: 10:30 AM - 5:30 PM
• Lunch: 1 hour unpaid
• Ex: Clock in 10:00 PM / Clock out 07:00 PM
• Ex: Clock in 08:30 PM / Clock out 05:30 PM
