The Junior New Product DevelopmentProject Manager will support the New Product Development Director in leading cross-functional teams to develop, launch and commercialize new products. They will be responsible for assisting in the end-to-end Product Development process, including ideation, concept development, design, testing, launch, and post-launch evaluation. Manage multiple beauty projects (cosmetics, skincare, haircare, bodycare in various product formats) concurrently with a high attention to detail, while being agile and adaptable to change, in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the New Product DevelopmentProject Manager in leading cross-functional teams to ensure new products are developed and launched successfully within the defined timeline, budget, and quality standards.
  • Support the development and execution of project plans, including defining project scope, timelines, resource requirements, testing, and deliverables.
  • Help communicate project status, perform proactive risk management, and escalate issues to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing project budget and monitor spending to ensure that it remains within budget limits.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, including vendors and suppliers to meet project timelines.
  • Enforce task and project deadlines and accountability of applicable deliverables and report on project progress in accordance with the established project plan.
  • Facilitate interdepartmental workflow.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support cost saving initiative projects through project management.
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.
  • Lead post project reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical, engineering, science, or a related field.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience and 1-2 years of experience in new Product Development or related field.
  • Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams, Power BI, Project) and Smartsheets (Project Management Software)
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong teamwork mindset.
  • Must be independently motivated with excellent attention to detail, analytical, organized, and exhibit a strong teamwork mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ensure work is completed in the time frame required.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional project teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communications skills, written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with individuals throughout all levels of the organization and customers alike.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously (multi-task effectively) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to manage project timelines under the guidance of Stage Gate.
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for new Product Development.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with project management tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interface with a variety of audiences, leaders, peers, and team members.
  • Strong business acumen including demonstrated track record of clear decision making and ability to facilitate organizational alignment.
  • Travel estimated to be 1-5%
