Job Description
The Jr. HSE Coordinator position reports to the HSE Manager and is responsible for planning, establishing, implementing and maintaining a variety of health, safety, and environmental programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for employees. The coordinator will be in a self-starting role which will involve challenging and collaborative work with our Kermit, TX facility.
Anticipated annual earnings $60,000-90,000 (Base $60,000-$90,000 + quarterly + year end bonus).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures that all AES employees comply with HSE-related federal, state, and local laws, regulations, rules, and codes.
- Coordinates, conducts, and assists with HSE-related training for new and existing employees, as needed.
- Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices, conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices, and provide advice and counseling to AES management and staff regarding HSE compliance efforts.
- Tracks and monitors HSE-related training to ensure compliance with all applicable legal and AES requirements.
- Assists with compliance with municipal, state, and federal safety and environmental requirements,
- Handles special projects necessitated by the unique geographical needs of AES work-sites within the Coordinator’s location, including assisting with state and local legal/regulatory compliance, audits, and other HSE-related concerns.
- Compiles, analyzes, investigates, and reports back concerning accidents and injuries involving AES to assess causation and to advise and make recommendations regarding accident and injury prevention, when and as necessary.
- Supports and participates in AES’s continual improvement program in conformity with ISO requirements.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the HSE Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant safety-related field is a plus.
- Prior work experience in the oil and gas industry would be highly advantageous.
- Current certification in First Aid and CPR is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook and internet-related research skills.
- Valid driver’s license and the maintenance of a driving record satisfactory to AES.
