Job Description:
The Client is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented and organized entry-level Accountant to join our Accounting Department of high performing professionals.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with posting routine weekly and monthly journal entries, ensuring proper coding to the correct general ledger accounts.
Help account for transactions in various cycles, such as leases, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, payroll, accruals, employee expenses, intercompany and others.
Assist with the accounting for Treasury transactions, monitoring treasury bank account balances and recommending transfers to maintain optimal cash balances.
Bank Statement and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Daily matching of banking transactions in our main operating bank account.
Assist with key controls.
Perform weekly cash forecasting.
Support the accounts payable and accounts receivables functions as necessary.
Other general accounting tasks, ad hoc requests and projects as assigned. (Audit requests, Parent-company requests, special projects, etc.)
Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
Qualifications (Minimum):
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting.
Accounting Experience: 0-5 years.
Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling and reporting financial data.
Enthusiasm to learn and take on new challenges in a dynamic corporate environment.
Preferred:
Experience working with Microsoft D365.
