An Item Processing Technician will work closely with a team of co-workers to operate equipment to encode, process, and proof all monetary transactions processed daily by the branch.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.)
- Balances and ensures all branch/merchant items are processed accurately, clearing and adjusting items as needed
- Records and maintains totals of items processed
- Prepares file export to ensure all transactions post to customer accounts
- Prepares outgoing cash letter, electronically and balance to Item Processing and correspondent totals
- Follow all policies, procedures and regulatory requirements applicable to the job function
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.)
- At least 1 year of experience with data entry and verification of accuracy
- Ability to operate normal office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculators, faxes, copiers, and scanners.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and branch personnel.
- Daily cleaning of equipment and work area.
- Ability to work in an efficient manner to process work during the allotted time frames.
- Physical ability to sit for long periods of time, and good hand eye co-ordination for data entry.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
