IT Systems Engineer

The IT Systems Engineer (SE) is a senior IT position at Circle. The Circle SE’s provide expert solutions and recommendations to our clients. They as the subject matter experts in or our clients’ stakeholders. SE’s assist in the design and enhancement of our client's Information Technology environments. Circle SE’s will strategically utilize their high-level skills and the technical resources available to them within Circle to provide an exceptional partner experience for our clients.

IT Systems Engineers perform hands-on IT project and IT engineering responsibilities remotely and in the field. The position requires in depth knowledge of information technology, Systems Engineering, and IT planning. Their areas of expertise will include servers, networks, mobile devices, vendor-specific hardware and software, and cloud solutions. The position works closely with the IT Services Desk, Administration, Technology Sales, and Management teams.

Essential Duties

• Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform deployments, migrations, and deployments,
• Microsoft 365 Administration, deployments, and migrations.
• Physical and virtual server administration, deployments, and migrations. On-prem and cloud focusing on VMware, Nutanitx, Cisco Hyperflex, and Hyper-V.
• Designing and implementing Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions. We mainly use Datto and Veeam for clients.
• Local travel to client locations within a specified geographic region.
• Excellent documentation and project management skills.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all data, passwords, and other systems information.
• Identify risks with mitigation recommendations, escalation management, and coordination of resources.
• Take part in On-Call rotation schedule.

Required Skills

• Minimum 3 years of professional IT experience.
• Systems Administration of physical and virtual server environments.
• Working Knowledge of Cloud Services: Office365, Azure, AWS, or GCP Experience.
• Working knowledge of AD, DNS, Windows Servers, Firewalls, Switching, VPN, etc.
• Self-starter and takes initiative in completing tasks and projects.
• Experience working in the IT Services, MSP, or CSP industry.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• IT Project management experience or Project Management Certifications.
• IT Certifications.
• IT project management experience.
• 5+ years of professional IT experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
