What we do:

The IT Systems Engineer II is responsible for The Trade Desk's global collaboration, identity and endpoint technology stack.  The ideal candidate will be a thought leader who is energized by hands on involvement in technology. We are looking for someone that is comfortable working in an IT Systems shop that is dedicated to scale, availability, and interoperability across the entire suite of enterprise applications.  If you are just as comfortable using Ansible and DevOps as you are Logic Apps, PowerShell and bash to manage your environment, then this is the opportunity for you.  The position level will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.

What you'll do:

• Administers, maintains, recommends and is responsible for
• Internal directory service management and architecture, Cloud-based single sign on, proactive service health focus (Monitoring, patching, backups)
• Enterprise Application management of on premise and/or third party hosted solutions.
• Collaboration systems (Unified Communications, Hosted Email, Cloud File Management, Meeting Room Collaboration and Print/Scan solutions.)
• Network & Telephony, WAN, VPN, Internet and voice circuits
• Endpoint & Mobile Device Management Solutions
• Regional and remote office physical infrastructure architecture
• Systems Administration Automation
• Contributes as a technical project resource for global Collaboration, Enterprise and Identity system projects across a mixed Windows, Linux, and MacOS (cloud and on-prem)
• Demonstrated experience with network services like DNS, RADIUS, IPAM, DHCP, PKI and directory authentication integrations
• Participates in security incident response processes and activities as appropriate.
• Leverages best practices approach towards projects, implementations, and issue resolution; ability to provide status updates and reports
• Creates and maintains efficient documentation for IT Standards, Policies, Procedures and KB
• Operationalize processes that can be performed by the Operations Team.
• Provides tier-3 support as needed
• Maintains a high quality of technical support to ensure effective productivity for the management, established employees, and future THE TRADE DESK team members.
• Maintains a high level of communication and positive professional relations with our current and/or future vendors and suppliers

Who you are: 

• Bachelor's degree IT field or equivalent years of related experience required
• Must have qualifications:
• Multi-site hybrid on-premises Active Directory/Azure AD & best practice, replication management, group policy objects, Intune configuration profiles, federation and business continuity
• Cloud service and infrastructure management including vNet, storage addressing, virtual machine, Office365, AAD Connect, authentication and authorization
• Heavy scripting language experience with Powershell, bash, python or JS
• Basic understanding of REST API framework and authentication
• Highly-desirable skills:
• Access Automation and/or SCIM provisioning (Bettercloud, Okta, Conditional Access or similar tech)
• Application containerization and management using Docker and Kubernetes/AKS
• Cloud-based SSO experience with Azure AD or similar IDP technology
• Endpoint Management Tools (Jamf, Intune/Autopilot, NinjaOne, Oomnitza, Code42)
• Enterprise Azure Subscription Management and RBAC best practices
• Infrastructure-as-code experience in Azure or AWS using tools like Terraform
• Unified Communications (Slack, Zoom, or Teams)
• Experience with supporting international teams desired
• Previous experience working at a startup is preferred
• Prior experience working with the ITIL framework in a SOX regulated environment is highly desired
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills required

Availability Requirements:

• Attendance: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance.
• Regular Hours: Must be regularly available and willing to work at least 8 hours per day, five days per week, or such other hours per day or hours per week as we determine are necessary or desirable to meet business needs. In-office expectation Tues-Thurs with WFH Monday and Friday
• After hours, weekends and holidays: Must be available and willing to work from time to time to meet critical business needs.
• On-site Requirement: Must perform duties onsite, except those job duties which are customarily or by their nature performed offsite (such as meetings, deliveries to designated destinations, or training).
• Will be required to carry a company-funded smart phone and expected to respond to urgent calls in a timely manner.
