The IT Support Technician position is responsible for the maintenance and support of client computer hardware, software, and peripherals and will provide troubleshooting of all client computer issues throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
- Fields service requests submitted via ticket system, phone, email, or in-person.
- Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting.
- Supports Windows and Mac based laptops/desktops for overall configuration, installation, maintenance, management, and issue resolution of employee hardware and software.
- Provides basic troubleshooting and support for software, networking, printing, and IP telephony systems.
- Furnishes written documentation of issue resolution, work performed.
- Provide support for system user accounts, including password management, creation, changes, and removal.
- Provide installation/set up of employee systems, as required (new employees, relocation, replacement hardware, etc.).
- Assists, as needed, the Systems Administrator and the Network Administrator with project work and/or emergency issues.
- Participates in the monthly rotation of on-call shifts, providing appropriate response to emergency requests.
