Gateway Supply is seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills.
Duties:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and other IT equipment
- Respond to user inquiries and provide technical support via phone, email, or in-person
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
- Adhere to security measures and controls
- Document all support activities and resolutions
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and backups
- Assist with user account management in Active Directory
- Test new technology
Requirements:
- Two or more years of proven experience as an IT Support Technician or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of Internet security and data privacy principles
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure components such as servers, switches, routers, etc.
- Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills
- Experience with virtual environments and remote access programs
- Knowledge of Active Directory administration is required
- Experience with Cisco routers and switches required
-Programming experience a plus - Linux, Windows, etc.
- Minimum 2 year degree in Computer Science or other relevant area required.
- Willing to travel to company locations as needed.
Pay commensurate with experience.
