DescriptionBayview Physicians Group is looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our team.
Our Support Specialists provide technical support to over 1000 end-users, including physicians, medical staff, and patients. The IT Support Specialist troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains software and hardware systems to mitigate downtime and improve performance. This is a communication-heavy role. Interested individuals must be comfortable utilizing multiple forms of communication to solve problems. This role requires the ability to write detailed documentation in order to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base. Ideally, the Support Specialist will be engaged in thoughtful leadership, best practice development initiatives, and employee training.
Qualifications- Critical thinking, attention to detail, and analytical skills required
- Experience with virtualization platforms, including VDI, preferred
- Familiarity with the healthcare industry, including billing and coding, a plus
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical end-users
- Advanced troubleshooting of virtual machines, PCs, and networking equipment
- Experience and expertise with Microsoft Windows
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant specialty preferred
- Respond to and resolve end-users’ requests for technical support in a timely manner
- Configure, maintain, and update various software and hardware systems on workstations and servers
- Provide guidance and training to end-users as needed
- Travel locally to perform on-site troubleshooting and other technical support needs
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support outside of business hours
- Work overtime as needed
- Establish quality relationships with physicians, medical staff, and co-workers
