It Support Specialist

Fiber Network Services is a communications contractor offering a full range of fiber optic cable network services. With Master Construction Agreements with Cox Communications, Comcast Cable, Crown Castle, Segra, Suddenlink, Windstream, and RCN in the State of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Vermont, New Jersey and Washington D.C., we are a trusted resource for cabling and maintaining high-speed internet connectivity via fiber optic and Coaxial systems.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Tracking, configuring, and maintaining computer systems and software
- Set up and troubleshoot VPN connections for remote users
- Respond to user inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex technical problems
- Document and track support tickets using ticketing systems such as Remedy or Jira
- Assist with LAN administration and network troubleshooting
- Conduct software troubleshooting and provide guidance to users
- Perform desktop support tasks including software installations, upgrades, and repairs

Skills:

-CompTIA A+ Certification is preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in software troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Experience with computer hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Familiarity with VPN setup and troubleshooting
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
- Knowledge of LAN administration and network troubleshooting
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Remedy or Jira
