About the Company
American Radiology Associates is a physician-owned multi-specialty Radiology practice based in Dallas. We are a large academic focused practice with a long-standing relationship with Baylor University Medical Center. We also have a busy private practice and have a need to hire an IT Support Analyst to assist efforts in supporting our dynamic IT environment and users.
About the Position
The IT Analyst we are looking for will have a very hands-on role in the company. The IT environment at ARA is continually evolving, fast-paced, and will be best suited to a candidate with a creative and dynamic personality that is looking for a new challenge in their developing IT career.
Qualifications and Skills
Our ideal candidate should have…
…excellent communication and listening skills, as you will be supporting both physician and non-physician users, both internal and external to the company. You must be flexible and able to work well with all types of personalities. Good customer service skills are necessary. Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus.
…familiarity with general network terminology and concepts, basic network troubleshooting skills, and an understanding of connectivity as it relates to LANs, WANs, and VPN. A general understanding of network, application, and server/workstation security is also required. Familiarity and experience with all current versions of Windows PC and Server operating systems is essential. Experience with Office 365 is a plus. You will need the ability to routinely setup, deliver and install PCs and related equipment in the DFW area.
…the ability to work non-traditional hours. This is primarily an 8a-5p role, but as the practice continues to grow, we need the candidate to be able to cover the hours of 11a-8p remotely on occasion. Flexibility in this regard is a requirement. Additionally, you must be willing to participate in a call rotation one week per month, to include overnights and the weekend. You should also have stable high-speed Internet at home.
…proven critical thinking skills, as well as time-management and workload prioritization skills. There are many different projects and IT initiatives ongoing, but daily customer and physician support will always be a requirement. The ability to follow-through on assigned tasks is imperative.
…one to two years of experience in an IT or helpdesk role. Familiarity with Radiology, the healthcare industry in general, and HIPAA is a plus.
…a working vehicle, as routine local DFW travel to complete assigned support tasks is necessary. There is less frequent travel required to other regional locations, but it does come up at times.
