Position Overview:
The Systems Support Specialist position is responsible for the administration and support of Symitar Episys (Credit Union core software), computers, printers, servers, and related peripherals. Primary functions include, but are not limited to, Episys support and administration, end user support, hardware maintenance and upgrades, and problem escalation with vendor(s). The majority of contact is with internal employees and external vendors when required. There is frequent contact with a supervisor to obtain advice, or to discuss and resolve issues. Work is performed under moderate supervision and reviewed periodically. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers is required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide support for the Credit Union core banking system Episys and ancillary products
- Work Helpdesk tickets
- Complete daily checklist items
- Maintain Active Directory infrastructure
- Document fixes, procedures, and configuration changes
- Assist with onboarding and termination of employees
- Install, configure and test new workstations, software, and peripherals
- Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses through Lansweeper
- Escalate and track complex issues with the appropriate vendor
- Follow proper security measures to limit Credit Union exposure
- Preserve confidentiality of Credit Union data
- Maintain good vendor relationships
- Completes special projects and other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma and some college, technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior Credit Union experience is preferred
- Symitar core experience is a plus but not required
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- Have good organizational skills
- Able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent customer service skills are a must
- Ability to efficiently analyze and solve problems
- General knowledge of PC, Server, and peripheral hardware
- General knowledge of Active Directory and Windows server environments
- Ability to exhibit self-control in stressful situations
- Ability to learn and adapt
- Ability to follow policies and procedures with a high attention to detail
- Excellent Time management skills
- Be a highly motivated self-starter
Pay:
Starting salary $55k per year, DOE
Schedule:
This is an in-office position, Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
