Overview of the Position
The IT Support Administrator's primary responsibilities are to provide desk side support for end users in Montreal, Canada office and Warehouse. In addition, this individual will manage the provisioning and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. He or she will employ a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness as well as use various techniques for resolving problems.
This individual will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to IT standard operating procedures. This individual will assist our project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases of our standard Project Management Methodology. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research and development within the project life cycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions.
The IT Support Administrator may participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure group.
Essential Job Duties
- Provisioning of user's personal computers by preparing all necessary software for the user role along with the on boarding of the employee
- Ticket triage on a rotational basis within the infrastructure team
- Provide daily IT administration, monitoring and ongoing support for computers, network, and related applications
- Ensure the security and protection of data on corporate network devices
- Handle user account provisioning - including Microsoft AD, Exchange/Office365, file share access rights, etc
- Supports factory operations by deploying and troubleshooting scan guns, Zebra printers, and related hardware
- Escalate infrastructure and application-related issues to the senior team as needed after performing an initial assessment
- Advise and work with management on all network infrastructure issues/problems
- Participate and support other IT staff members with various projects and initiatives
- Provide IT training to staff when needed.
- Provide any additional support on ad-hoc projects
- Work with Operations team to:
- Troubleshoot any issues with software/hardware
- Process and troubleshoot invoicing issues
- Assist with data entry needs as needed
- Assist with other basic digital operations tasks as needed (no manual labor)
- Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to install, administer and troubleshoot computer hardware, software and networks
- Ability to work with a virtual team
- Superior analytical, isolation and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work autonomously with little-to-no supervision
- Desire to learn and improve knowledge of different technologies

- Knowledge of Windows systems (desktops and servers)
- Knowledge of LAN and WAN networks a plus
- Must be able to document any issues/problems clearly and meet all reporting requirements
- Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 40 pounds
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree in computer science or information technology related field or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as an IT technician with hands-on experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment considered an asset
- Experience in providing technology training considered an asset

Assurer l'administration informatique quotidienne, la surveillance et le support continu pour les ordinateurs, le reseau et les applications associees.
Assurer la securite et la protection des donnees sur les appareils du reseau d'entreprise
Gerer le provisionnement des comptes utilisateur - y compris Microsoft AD, Exchange/Office365, les droits d'acces au partage de fichiers, etc.
Prend en charge les operations de l'usine en deployant et en depannant les pistolets de numerisation, les imprimantes Zebra et le materiel associe.
Faire remonter les problemes lies a l'infrastructure et aux applications a l'equipe senior, si necessaire, apres avoir effectue une evaluation initiale.
Conseiller et travailler avec la direction sur tous les problemes d'infrastructure reseau.
Participer et soutenir d'autres membres du personnel informatique dans divers projets et initiatives
Fournir une formation informatique au personnel en cas de besoin.
Fournir tout support supplementaire sur des projets ad hoc
Travailler avec l'equipe des operations pour :
o Resoudre tout probleme avec le logiciel/materiel
o Traiter et resoudre les problemes de facturation
o Aider avec les besoins de saisie de donnees au besoin
o Participer a d'autres taches d'operations numeriques de base selon les besoins (pas de travail manuel)

Formation et experience
Diplome d'associe dans un domaine lie a l'informatique ou aux technologies de l'information ou experience equivalente
