It Manager

Southview Medical Group, P.C. is a large, multi-specialty medical practice comprised of approximately 40 providers and 190 employees. In addition to Internal Medicine, Southview provides Cardiology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, and Infectious Disease services. We provide numerous on-site diagnostic testing options including X-ray, DEXA, Ultrasound, CT, Nuclear Medicine, and Vascular/Echo. Our in-house Laboratory performs approximately 90% of tests ordered by our providers.

We are currently seeking an onsite Information Technology Manager to manage multiple systems and interfaces. This is an Exempt level position. The work schedule for this position is primarily Monday through Friday, day shift hours. However, the ability to be available for limited after hours support is expected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily operation of Southview Medical Group’s technology systems including on-site and cloud systems.
• Maintains Southview Medical Group’s standards for informational technology systems and usage.
• Manages Active Directory Network including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, network switches, firewall, VPN connectivity and WAN data services.
• Manages, supports, and installs on-site server hardware utilizing Microsoft HYPER-V.
• Manages Veradigm (Allscripts) EHR and PM system technical services including installation, upgrades, and non-clinical support.
• Manages ScImage PACS system technical services including installation, upgrades, and non-clinical support.
• Establishes and maintains vendor relationships and contracts related to hardware, software, and IT services.
• Plans, coordinates, and implements voice and data technology strategies including software/application installation and upgrades.
• Provides help desk support and technical assistance for end-users by investigating problems, identifying causes, and implementing solutions.
• Recommends the selection and acquisition of hardware, software, and IT-related services and equipment.
• Provides recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors on potential IT solutions that will enhance Southview Medical Group’s operations and/or services.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement in technology tools.
• Coordinates IT related projects and implements enterprise technology strategies.
• Ensures Southview Medical Group’s preparedness for disaster recovery through creating and testing backup/restoration processes.
• Maintains inventory of all installed and spare hardware; maintains inventory of all software.
• Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
• Assumes and performs/responsibilities as assigned.

Education/ Experience

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, or other job-related field, plus five years of experience planning, designing, developing, implementing, evaluating and maintaining information technology systems; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Project management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience with multi-server Microsoft network environment, LAN/WAN, switching, email systems, MS SQL, Microsoft HyperV, Microsoft RDS, Sonicwall Firewall.
• Ability to understand and apply knowledge of network concepts, techniques, and principles.
• Knowledge of computing and networking hardware and peripheral equipment.
• Knowledge and understanding of physical and virtualized servers.
• Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks, and related hardware and software.
• Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
• Experience with Veradigm (Allscripts) EHR and PM preferred.
• Experience with MS SQL server preferred.
• Ability to interact tactfully and courteously with outside vendors and to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• IT Certifications are a plus.
