Responsibilities:
The role of the Senior Manager of IT Clinical Programming is to ensure the interoperability of USA Health's electronic health records (EHR's), software programs, applications, and third-party solutions; will oversee, plan and maintain the clinical applications of the Cerner EMR, as well as deisgn, build, test, and support the solutions required for enterprise interoperability and data intergrity; will be a part of IT Leadership and be the responsible party for managing the domain strategy and reviewing new project proposals for tehcnical feasibility; accomplishes department objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating department activities; maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; ensures a safe, secure, and legal work environment; develops personal growth opportunites; accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees; develops, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards; defines objectives, identifies and evaluates trends and options, chooses a course of action, and evalauates outcomes; maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems, and recommending system improvements; reponsible for the ongoing performance review of staff and any performance improvement plans as needed; ensures employees have the necessary equipment and resources to perform their jobs at an optimal level; fosters a collaborative environment; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work scheufdle as defined and additional hours as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, computer science, business or a directly related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and five years of related IT experience, one of which were in a supervisory capacity.
