Full-time Job Description: We are seeking a skilled IT Support Help Desk Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, software, phones, and basic networking. The position will primarily involve responding to inquiries, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, and resolving technical problems promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, or in-person in a timely manner.
- Diagnose technical issues, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and provide solutions or workarounds.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.
- Assist with basic networking tasks, including setting up and troubleshooting network connectivity.
- Provide technical guidance and training to end-users on the use of hardware, software, and phone systems.
- Document all support activities, including resolutions, in the ticketing system and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software applications, and Windows operating system.
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service-oriented approach.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, or Network+ are a plus.
- Experience with phone systems (e.g., VoIP) and mobile devices (iOS, Android) is desirable.
- Proficiency in using ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- A willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
