Need an IT Administrator in Waunakee, WI 53597 (13 miles away from Madison)
Department: Information Technology/ Admin
Reports to: IT Manager
Job Summary:
The IT Administrator will utilize their skill set to assist in technological operations amongst all departments in the company. They will be responsible for installation of software, monitoring security, and performing regular updates.
● Installation of network cabling, servers, workstations, desktop operating systems and connecting, monitoring, and maintaining performance of these systems.
● Assist staff with technical support and provide training.
● Configuration of wireless access points, routers, and switches and troubleshooting when necessary.
● Monitor supply and equipment levels and order when necessary.
● Work closely with IT Manager and assist with day-to-day operations.
● May work occasional off-hour (night or weekend) work for upgrades or maintenance tasks.
● Maintain clean and organized work environment.
● Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
● Strong communication skills.
● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Possess an understanding of security and preventative maintenance.
● Understanding of privacy and maintaining confidentiality.
● Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
● Carry a growth mindset to learn and work alongside IT Manager.
● Ability to lift 20 pounds.
Education and Experience:
● High school diploma
● 2+ years of IT or IT related field experience preferred
● Experience with network equipment and cabling, laptop and server hardware, QuickBooks, Programmable Logic Controller knowledge a plus
● Preferred skills - Office 365 administration, Windows server experience, PowerShell scripting, Cisco Meraki/IOS experience, Unifi experience, understanding of network stack and ethernet cabling
Engagement terms:
- Location: Waunakee, WI 53597 (13 miles away from Madison)
- Hourly rate/Monthly salary: $20-30/hr. ONLY on 1099 basis. Please provide the best hourly rate and monthly salary.
- Candidates should require having a Professional and general liability insurance that is typical of an independent contractor for 1099.
- It is quite cheap and easy to get this insurance.
- Start Date – ASAP
- Duration: 1 Year.
