As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure Cloud Administrator to join our IT team and play a key role in the management and optimization of our Azure cloud and on-premise environment. This is a highly visible role – offering unique opportunities to interact with many teams throughout the organization, ideal for someone who wants to have a big impact in a fast-growing company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Azure Infrastructure Management
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure components, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Implement and maintain virtual machines, storage, and networking solutions within the Azure environment.
- Resource Optimization
- Monitor and optimize Azure resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Conduct regular assessments of resource utilization and recommend improvements.
- Security and Compliance
- Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard Azure resources.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in Azure environments.
- Automation and Scripting
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for provisioning and managing Azure resources.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for efficient and consistent deployments.
- Troubleshooting and Incident Response
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for Azure-related issues, collaborating with other teams as needed.
- Participate in incident response activities and contribute to the resolution of critical incidents.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery
- Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for Azure-based applications and data.
- Conduct regular testing of disaster recovery plans to ensure readiness.
- Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align Azure solutions accordingly.
- Share expertise and best practices with team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Administrator, specifically with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-303, AZ-304) are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services, including VMs, Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, and networking components.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, ARM templates).
- Solid understanding of security principles and best practices in cloud environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
