Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work with a team of passionate IP professionals? Procopio is seeking an IP Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic IP team in our downtown San Diego office. This position will provide administrative support to the IP team, including attorneys, staff, and clients, and will be an integral part of our mission to deliver exceptional IP services to our clients.
On a regular basis the IP Admin will be responsible for coordinating onboarding of new clients with the Conflicts Department (including preliminary conflict check, preparing Engagement Agreements, and coordinating initial deposits), coordinating opening of new matters for existing clients with the Docketing Department (including performing IP research to obtain necessary information), performing administrative tasks for attorneys, such as expense reimbursement requests, meeting scheduling, travel and seminar arrangements, time entry for contract attorneys, and document management, and reviewing incoming USPTO communications.
Our best candidates have at least one year of administrative support experience, and strong computer skills. They also have strong organizational and follow-up skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and are team player with a positive, professional attitude. Some knowledge of USPTO systems (EFS-Web, PAIR, TEAS, EPAS, ETASI) is preferred, but not required. If you are able to work independently using sound judgment, critical thinking, and superb attention to detail, this might be the right opportunity for you, especially if you are can prioritize workload with efficacy and handle a high-volume workload.

The firm offers generous total compensation packages. Typical pay range is from $50,000 - $65,000 annual depending on experience. If your pay expectation is outside this range, we still encourage you to apply. Bonuses are awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance.
